“Now the reason you have a friend, or love someone, is not for them to do something for you.  If that’s the reason you love them, so that they’ll give you some money, or some other worldy good, then it is not you friend you love, but the things you get out of it.  Friends are to be loved freely, for their own sake, not for the sake of something else.  And if you are encouraged, by this rule of friendship, to love human beings freely, for their own sakes, then how much more gratuitously should you love God?”

-St. Augustine, Sermon 385

These are some of my friends from back in the United States.  I’m really thankful for all of them.  They have been faithful friends to me and they embody the above quote by St. Augustine.  So, this is just to let  you know how much I love you guys!

Sam, Jamie, Ben, Josh, Hunter, Tyler, Jason, Beth, Tiffany, Meagan, Jessica, not to mention all of my family:  You guys are awesome!  Even though I’m way over here and don’t get to talk to you very much doesn’t mean that I don’t constantly think about you all.

These are great pictures by the way 😉

Be blessed!

    Hey Groover,
Awesome quote and reflection from an awesome friend. I really would like to catch up with you some time soon and I have you on my skype account. There is so much to share, but I pray that you are well and persevering in knowing, loving, and serving our Lord.
